I began drawing as far as I can remember. It was always something I kept practicing for fun and didn't realize the impact it could have on other people. Mediums I've used included sketch & colored pencils, charcoal, colored chalk, watercolor, acrylic and oil paints-- and each one has its own feel and purpose, as I find a different emotional release with each one. Now where I've grown more in my technique and understanding, I want to create for purpose and change for other people to find their own version of self-discovery as well. There are so many messages I hope to convey through my work and hope it brings joy to anyone who will see it.
Singing is my life. From opera and classical singing to pop, musical theater, contemporary, R&B-- Upon completing my B.M. at Mason Gross School of the Arts Rutgers University, I'm continuing to perfect my craft at any chance I get. Along with performing I offer private voice lessons and enjoy helping others better express their inner truth as freely and authentically as they can.
Most recent roles include Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Barbarina (Le nozze) and the 1st Lady (The Magic Flute) with the New York Lyric Opera. Additional classical repertoire includes light/lyric and coloratura arias including The Queen of the Night's aria, Juliette's waltz and Rosina's aria. Currently, a couple musical theater role studies include Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Glinda from Wicked.
Previous engagements include the "Shui Li Fang" Watercube Mando-pop singing competition (1st place in Washington D.C., Finalist in Beijing, 2015), classical singers' competition, National Association of Teachers of Singing (1st place, 2014), and various events throughout New York City.
